The era of the emaciated model is over! No longer is a 92-pound, emaciated woman the model for beauty. Today, a shape is in, and that applies to our backsides, as well.
Dr. Yates can give you the round, shapelier bottom you’ve always wanted with a Brazilian Butt Lift. The procedure and recovery are not difficult, and it provides great results, all while using your fat for the augmentation.
How is a Brazilian Butt Lift different from butt augmentation?
In 2015, 320,000 butt augmentations were performed worldwide. That was a 30 percent increase from 2014. The vast share of those augmentations is Brazilian Butt Lifts.
Brazilian Butt Lifts are dramatically different from implant augmentation. In a Brazilian Butt Lift, a patient’s fat is used for the augmentation. In implant augmentation, implants are surgically placed. In implant augmentation, the results are permanent, but sometimes implants can move and require revision surgery. The consensus seems to be that Brazilian Butt Lift Augmentation delivers more natural-looking results. Dr. Yates only performs Brazilian Butt Lifts.
How is a Brazilian Butt Lift done?
The great secondary benefit of a Brazilian Butt Lift with Dr. Yates is the fat used for the transfer is harvested from an area where you don’t want it. Be removing fat from certain areas such as the flanks; the new rounder backside is also accentuated.
A Brazilian lift begins with sterile, closed-system liposuction, which obviously is a secondary benefit of the procedure. Fat is harvested from an unwanted area (most popular areas are the lower back, waist, flanks, thighs, and stomach) through liposuction. Small incisions are made. Local anesthesia is infused first, and then a thin cannula is inserted and moved back and forth to loosen the fat pockets in the area. The cannula then suctions out the fat. Up to three times the amount of fat that will be re-injected may be harvested. By removing fat, it not only provides the raw material for the buttock enhancement but it also contours the areas around the butt for a more dramatic result.
Next, the fat, tissue, and blood that were suctioned out are processed to separate the fat. Dr. Yates also enriches the fat with the patient’s stem cells. He then re-injects the fat back into the buttocks through hundreds of tiny injections all over your buttocks. Dr. Yates pays particular attention to the upper buttocks, so the entire area looks youthfully lifted. He perfected the “S” shape curve that he uses for his Brazilian lifts to accentuate the patient’s shape.
How long do results take?
Results are immediately visible, but they keep improving with time because it takes some time for the fat to “take.” It can take a full year before a patient’s full results are visible. Over time, some of the initial volumes from your fat grafting procedure will diminish. On average, patients retain 60 to 80% of the transferred fat, with the body absorbing the rest.
